Extension FAQ’s
How do i wash my extensions?
Just like you would shampoo your natural hair, making sure you are getting to your scalp thoroughly, shampooing underneath each weft. Also making sure you are rinsing thoroughly to prevent any product from remaining
Are they real hair?
Yes! They are 100% human hair, so that means you can blow-dry, curl and flat iron the same as you would your natural hair.
How long do they last?
They will need to be moved up for maintenance about every 6-8 weeks.
The actual hair will last you 9 months to a year.
What is the maintenance like?
You have more hair, so you will have a little longer time to blow-dry and style, however, you should not have to shampoo as often.
They will hold your curl and style like a dream so your morning maintenance should actually be less.
Deep condition or use a good moisturizing conditioner every time you wash your extensions.
Can I curl and straighten them?
Yes! Just make sure you are using a heat protectant.
Can i workout with them?
Yes, you can absolutely still workout, i would Reccommend wearing your hair up to keep them from getting tangled and minimize getting them sweaty.
Can i wear them up without them being visible?
Thats the beauty of the hidden method, you can absolutely wear them up and they will not be noticeable at all
Extension home care
make sure you cleanse under and between each weft
Rinse thoroughly between and under wefts
Moisture!! Extensions will not absorb oils from your scalp like your natural hair so they need extra moisture (masks, moisture conditioners and/or serums)
Use professional product, other products can cause buildup, dryness and color fadage.
Sleep with them secured, like braids or top bun
BRUSH THEM!!! This is super important!! Are sure you brush them regularly (2x a day minimum) when you brush, hold the top of the weft and make sure you’re getting underneath (don’t brush the top of the weft itself. Make sure you get in between wefts
Work from the bottom up when detangling
Use a heat protectant always
Do not use spray sunscreens on or near your extensions (most will discolor them and dry them out)
